We are the first breeder in the country to produce a litter of Red and White Tuxedoes. We here at Oak Hill Standard Poodles are dedicating these males and females to developing the Red and White Partis.
To our site visitors,
I would like to take you on a journey with me while I am developing Oak Hill’s line of Standard Red and White Parti Poodles. These are the males and females I have dedicated to that endeavor. What does it take to develop a new color pattern? Do you just take two dogs of like colors and put them together? It is very important to breed the very best animals that you can find for your foundation stock…they not only have to be conformationally correct, but they have to be athletic, with a good mind and a people pleasing personality. After which there is their coat to consider, but the most important attribute is their genetic background…and this isn’t done through just testing, but studying the bottom and top of the mom and dad’s pedigree back generations to detect health problems and breed away from those weak areas…another is stacking color genes to produce the proper coat and color combinations…even when all of these conditions are met the results aren’t what we had hoped . If a male and female do not produce get that are better than what they are then you are not doing your job as a breeder…the only reason to breed is to improve the breed…if that get does not meet these criteria we go a new direction…if we find weakness that dog is spayed or neutered and put into a home to bless someone in that way with his or her life…several of our dogs have gone to wonderful homes…is this expensive…yes…but this is what dog breeding requires….
So here are our hopes and dreams for Oak Hill Farm Standard Poodle Red and White Partis and Tuxedo Partis and our Solid Red Parti Factored Males and Females…I am doing this all by myself?....certainly not…I never do anything without the advise of Sue Abeln…who I consider the most knowledgeable breeder in the country…I talk to geneticists…color geneticists…I read and study…but most of all I pray for wisdom on how to apply the knowledge that I gather.
Please check in on us from time to time to see the results of our efforts …each new litter is just like Christmas…little bundles of joy that keep on giving throughout their lifetimes…

Kit-Sue's Phil has been named one of the UKC Top Ten Dogs in the country for 2010. He is #6 in the country. Phil is the father of Starla. He is one of the foundation males that I will be using to develop my Red and white Parti line. He is an certified Serarch & Rescue dog with the military trained for Drug Testing. He also does Agility & is a wonderful show dog. Loved by Sue Ablen of KITSUE Poodles, owner and breeder who has bred and developed a great share of the Parti Poodles that are being shown today. She is responsible for the quality of the dogs that you see. The young lady is her granddaughter who has won many ribbons herself as a junior handler.
